Information on the Christians In Civic Government Conference November 6 & 7 in Sylvania, Ohio.

From Biblical Conviction to Civic Action

The Christians in Civic Government Conference was founded upon a simple conviction: Christians should not merely observe the direction of their nation—they should understand their responsibilities and actively participate in shaping its future.

Throughout American history, people of faith have participated in the public square, helped shape civic institutions, defended fundamental liberties, and contributed to the development of their communities. Yet today, many Christians are uncertain about the proper relationship between biblical faith and civic government, or how they can meaningfully participate in the political process.

We believe it is time to replace uncertainty with understanding, complacency with responsibility, and passive concern with purposeful action.

Our Mission

The mission of the Christians in Civic Government Conference is to educate, equip, and mobilize Christians for informed, principled, and effective participation in American civic government.

We seek to accomplish this by examining the biblical foundations of governance, the historical principles of America’s founding, the constitutional structure of our republic, and the practical responsibilities of citizenship.

Our objective is not simply to increase knowledge. It is to translate that knowledge into meaningful participation and measurable results.

More Than a Conference

This is not intended to be another gathering where people listen to inspiring speeches, agree that something must be done, and return home without a plan.

We want participants to leave knowing why their involvement matters, how American civic government actually functions, and what practical steps they can take to make a difference.

Through historical instruction, biblical examination, discussion, and practical application, we intend to encourage participants to become better-informed citizens, develop leadership skills, organize within their communities, and engage constructively with the institutions of government.

Featuring William J. “Bill” Federer

Our featured speaker is historian, bestselling author, and founder of American Minute, William J. “Bill” Federer.

Drawing upon his extensive research into American history, constitutional government, and the influence of faith upon our nation’s development, Federer will help participants explore the relationship between biblical principles, individual liberty, civic responsibility, and the American constitutional system.

Why This Matters

We believe responsible citizenship involves more than voting periodically or expressing frustration with government.

It requires understanding the principles upon which government rests, knowing how its institutions function, holding public officials accountable, cultivating capable leaders, and participating in the civic life of our communities.

Government goes to those who participate.

Our desire is to help Christians become knowledgeable, prepared, and engaged citizens who exercise their responsibilities with conviction, integrity, wisdom, and courage.
